Bengaluru/Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has got relief from the Karnataka High Court in the case of copyright infringement of the film. Apart from them, good news has also come out for other party leaders Jairam Ramesh and Supriya Shrinate. In fact, the ban on registration of FIR against all of them has been extended till June 23.
MRT Music had filed against Complaint
A complaint was lodged against the Congress leaders by MRT Music, a subsidiary of Lahari Music. The company has alleged that a music from the film 'KGF Chapter 2' has been used in a video made for the promotion of 'Bharat Jodo Yatra', which is in violation of copyright law. The complaint has been filed under various sections of IPC, Copyright Act and Information Technology Act.
Filed against Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar case canceled
The High Court today quashed a case against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar regarding violation of COVID-19 restrictions during 'Mekedatu Padayatra' in January 2022. He was in the opposition then. A case was registered against both the Congress leaders and several others under the Karnataka Epidemic Diseases Act and IPC, which was challenged before the High Court.
