Cash payment made at the rate of 4 thousand per standard bag
Bijapur/ Being a forested district, Bijapur district has become the main source of fire for the residents here. On the demand of cash payment to the local residents, the Chief Minister had given instructions to make cash payment of tendupatta this year. Tendupatta collection is completed in a period of 10 to 12 days. 81098.457 standard sack collection (at the rate of Rs 4 thousand per standard sack) was paid to 52841 collectors in 45 lots of 28 primary forest produce cooperative societies of District Union Bijapur Forest Division Bijapur in the month of June 2023 Rs 32 crore 43 lakh 93 thousand 828. Local Tendupatta collection is considered to be a good source of income for the resident. Tendupatta collection provides financial help for agricultural work and domestic works by earning good income. Scholarship is also provided for education under the Education Promotion Scheme. Information related to Tendupatta collection and scheme is disseminated at the local level by the field staff of the Forest Department. Local villagers are also benefiting from this scheme. They also express their gratitude towards the government and administration by taking benefit from it
