Kolkata /Panchayat election polling continues in West Bengal amid heavy violence. There are reports of violence, arson, stone pelting at various places across the state. Since the panchayat elections began at 7 am on Saturday, nine people have died in the state till noon and three more were killed in alleged poll-related violence since midnight. In such a situation, 12 people have died during the panchayat elections. The dead include five TMC and one each BJP and Congress workers. Apart from them, supporters of the independent party have also died in the violence.
