Kargil Vijay Diwas
Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated every year on 26 July in India. It was the day when the Indian Army won the 1999 Kargil War over the Pakistani Army. Kargil Vijay Diwas is a symbol of unparalleled courage and sacrifice of the Indian Army. Indian soldiers had dedicated themselves to the service of the country without caring for their lives. This day has gained recognition as a symbol of patriotism and valor. On this day the brave soldiers of the Indian Army are honored and their sacrifices are remembered.
The Kargil war of 1999 took place between India and Pakistan, in which the armies of both the countries came face to face. The Kargil war was fought on the heights of the Himalayas. The objective of the Pakistani army was to capture that area but the Indian army acted bravely in the face of this challenge. As a result, the Indian Army fought fiercely against the Pakistan Army and won the victory over the Pakistani Army. Many Indian soldiers had sacrificed their lives during this war. This war lasted for 60 days. This war ended on 26 July, in which India won.
The Kargil war was a brave battle. This day reminds us that our brave soldiers are working day and night for the security of the country. It teaches us that we should respect our country's army and always stand by them.
