Rickshaw puller became Atal Bihari Vajpayee in the crowd, incident before BJP formation

BJP Foundation Day: It is about 1960. The Bharatiya Janata Party did not exist then. At that time there used to be Bharatiya Jan Sangh and the leaders of the party used to propagate Jan Sangh in a simple way. This political party was formed on 21 October 1951 by three people Syama Prasad Mukherjee, Professor Balraj Madhok and Deendayal Upadhyay. The election symbol of this party was lamp. Later Atal Bihari Vajpayee joined this party. He was also its president from 1969 to 72.
Train came, but not Vajpayee:
So in 1960, Atal Bihari Vajpayee reached Nawada in Bihar in connection with the campaign of his party. Nawada district was not formed at that time and it used to be a subdivision of Gaya district. Vajpayee ji was about to reach Nawada by train. A rickshaw was arranged by Gaurishankar Kesari, the then local leader of the Jana Sangh, to welcome him and take him to the city. The train arrived but Vajpayee ji could not be seen by anyone.
