Cloudburst has been predicted on the mountains
According to the forecast released by the Meteorological Department on Monday, there is a possibility of heavy rains in the next few days in Odisha, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, West Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. Director General of the Meteorological Department, Dhananjay Mohapatra says that a warning has already been given about the way the conditions have developed in the mountains. Especially in the Himalayan region, such weather conditions are likely to continue for the next three days.
He says that there is a possibility of major incidents like cloudburst in some places in the next three days. Mahapatra says that an alert has been issued to all the hill states regarding this. At present, this warning has been issued for the next three days, after which the Meteorological Department will issue the next forecast, considering the activation of the monsoon. The Director General of the Meteorological Department says that the manner in which the sudden activation of the monsoon hit the mountains was already predicted. It is being speculated that such incidents may happen in July as well. At present, the Meteorological Department and the concerned states are in constant contact.
