Patna / Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has decided to give incentives to girls to promote girl child education. Under this, Rs 400 crore has been approved for incentive amount. In the year 2023, unmarried girl students of all categories who pass the intermediate examination will get Rs 25-25 thousand as incentive amount. For this, Rs 268 crore has been released by the Education Department. Under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Utthan Yojana, a provision of Rs 400 crore has been made in the budget this year.

Ban on taking policy decisions of five vice chancellors

There, the tenure of Vice Chancellors of Raja's Patna University, Jai Prakash University, BN Mandal University, Lalit Narayan Mithila University and Kameshwar Singh Darbhanga Sanskrit University is coming to an end soon. Taking precautions, the Raj Bhavan has prohibited any kind of appointments, decisions on administrative and financial matters by the Vice-Chancellors of the concerned five universities.
