Patna/Two people died after consuming spurious liquor in Bihar's East Champaran district. The deceased have been identified as ex-serviceman Pawan Gauri Shankar Ram of Ghograha Beria village and Umesh Patel, a native of Dhwahi village. A relative of the deceased said, Gauri Shankar was my uncle. He drank Rai on Friday night and after some time he complained of stomach ache and vomiting. We admitted him to the hospital, where he died.
Umesh Patel also consumed alcohol on Friday and was admitted to a private hospital, where he breathed his last. Motihari (East Champaran) SP Kumar Mishra said, "We have received information about two deaths. We have constituted a team under the leadership of ASP Raj to investigate the matter. Raids are on to nab the suppliers of spurious liquor.
